One-on-one, doctor-led physical therapy in Greenville, SC — built around your goals, your sport, and your lifestyle.

Our Story

Named After the Trail. Built for the Community.

Swamp Rabbit Physiotherapy was founded to serve Greenville's active community — particularly runners and outdoor athletes who value movement as part of their lifestyle. The name reflects our connection to the Swamp Rabbit Trail and the local culture of staying active, connected, and invested in long-term health rather than quick fixes.

We help people overcome pain, recover from injury, and return to the activities they love through individualized, one-on-one care. Every treatment plan is built around understanding the root cause — not just treating the symptom.

This isn't a PT mill. We don't double-book patients, hand you off to an aide, or rush through a cookie-cutter protocol. When you come to Swamp Rabbit, you get a Doctor of Physical Therapy for your entire session — every time.

Owner & Doctor of Physical Therapy

I have always been fascinated by how the human body moves, but my reason for becoming a physical therapist is much simpler: I felt called to help people.

I have worked in physical therapy settings since 2010 and earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2014 after completing my undergraduate education at Arizona State University. My curiosity about anatomy and biomechanics continues to shape how I practice. I want to understand why a problem developed, how it affects the whole person, and what it will take to move forward with confidence.

That philosophy is what led us to create Swamp Rabbit Physiotherapy and Performance.

After working within the traditional physical therapy system, I became convinced that the standard model was failing both patients and therapists. Patients deserve more than rushed appointments, generic exercises, and temporary relief. They deserve time, attention, and a plan built around what they want to accomplish. Swamp Rabbit Physio was created to provide that experience.

My approach follows our philosophy of Restore, Rebuild, Perform. We begin by restoring movement and reducing the limitations holding someone back. We then rebuild strength, capacity, and confidence before preparing them for the real demands of running, cycling, lifting, competing, or staying active for the long term.

As a runner and cyclist, I understand that movement is rarely "just exercise." It can be a source of identity, community, confidence, and connection. My job is not simply to tell someone to stop doing what they love. It is to help them understand what is happening and build a realistic path back to it.

My family and I moved from Arizona to Greenville in 2018 to be closer to family and become part of a growing, active community. Outside the clinic, you will usually find me running, riding, spending time outdoors, or exploring Greenville with my family.

PT, DPT

Owner & Doctor of Physical Therapy

Allison is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with over 10 years of clinical experience treating active individuals across the full spectrum of injury, rehabilitation, and performance. She grew up in a suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Allison went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, Texas in 2014.

A former competitive gymnast, Allison has remained deeply engaged in athletics and movement. She has participated in running events ranging from the mile to the marathon and recently completed her first sprint triathlon. Continually challenging herself through new activities helps inform her clinical approach and gives her a deep understanding of the physical demands faced by athletes of all kinds.

Since relocating to Greenville in 2018, Allison has enjoyed being part of the growing and active Upstate community. She treats individuals across the lifespan using a combination of manual therapy, cupping, blood flow restriction training, and targeted exercise programming to address current limitations and prevent future injuries. Allison believes athletes are not defined by sport alone, but by a mindset rooted in movement, goal-setting, and long-term health.

Outside the clinic, Allison enjoys spending time with her husband, Austin, and their children, Caleb and Makenzie. You can often find them on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, enjoying stecca bread, hiking with their dog Cooper, or exploring local coffee shops.
